At TED Oxford 2010. One of the key themes is bridging -
Dave McCandless talked about the importance of visualizing data to bridge from
the abstract to the concrete. His maps were not only beautiful they let you
absorb, compare and draw key insights. Elif Shafak a Turkish author received a
standing ovation for her belief that circles have the power to trap you like a
wall, and stories are so important to escape. This is an amazing experience to
sit and absorb on matters that matter to the planet, to our business of doing
business and to me individually.
