Iggy & Peggy Get Mashed

Iggy3a_2 What happens when you put Iggy Pop and Peggy Lee classics together in one song? You get a poetic cultural paradox, a twisted new take on the old. Recently, an audio mash-meister combined 'passenger’ and ‘fever’ to produce a brilliant mash hit.

A great mash can be two opposites blending seamlessly, like Ig&Peg, or like-minded brands such as Nike and iPod, using their mashed offering to deliver a tailored sports experience.

Mashing is nothing new, take the toaster oven or the clock radio. What’s new is our readiness to embrace fresh combinations of ideas, cultures, experiences and art forms that defy categorization. Innovative mashing is a great opportunity for marketers, and a perfect example of what we call the 'New Miscellaneous'. (More on that later).
